Environment Enrichment

A cat’s environment plays a huge role in their wellbeing. Home environment enrichment helps cats thrive by meeting their instinctive needs for safety, exploration, hunting, and play. By providing vertical spaces, interactive feeding, varied sensory experiences, and predictable access to resources, we can create a stimulating and secure environment that supports both physical and emotional wellbeing. The layout and resources in your home can either support your cat’s natural behaviours or unintentionally create stress. This service helps you understand what your cat needs to feel secure, enriched, and content. Enrichment reduces stress, prevents behaviour problems, and empowers cats to express natural behaviours—especially indoors. together we will look at:

  • Creating vertical space
  • Hunting & Feeding Enrichment
  • Novelty & Exploration
  • Safe Hiding Spots
  • Interactive Play
  • Environmental Design

My approach is completely non-judgemental. Every home and every cat is different, and my goal is simply to help you create an environment that works well for both of you.

Environment Enrichment Consultation - £170

The Enrichment Consultation will last up to an hour and a half, either online or in person (if in London). The consultation is to understand the cats environment and provide the owner the understanding of the resources your cat needs and how they can be incorporated into the environment.

The consultation includes:

  • Evaluation of enrichment opportunities
Looking at your cat’s access to vertical space, resting areas, play resources, scratching options, litter tray placement, feeding setups, and more.
  • Behaviour‑based recommendations
Suggestions are tailored to your cat’s personality, age, confidence level, and any challenges you’ve noticed.

After the assessment, you’ll receive a clear, easy‑to‑follow report outlining:

  • Areas that could be improved
  • Practical changes you can make
  • A curated list of enrichment items that would benefit your cat
  • Tips on how to introduce new resources smoothly and successfully

Follow up email support is provided after the consultation for 8 weeks to provide continued guidance to support the introduction of resources, troubleshoot early hurdles, and track your cat’s progress.

Please note, you will be required to complete a form prior to the first session. The form will allow me to gain some understanding on who your cat is and what your goals are.
